Ministry Objective
A passion for God’s word and an enthusiastic view of evangelism have been given me by God. He has called me to proclaim His Good News that whosoever would believe in Him will have eternal life. I believe every church has the opportunity for true revival. It is to this end I am now working.
A Word of Testimony.......
I would like to share something with you that has changed my life. Its about a personal relationship I have with Jesus Christ.
There was a time in my life that I did not know Jesus Christ. I remember my grandparents talking about God and what He had done in their lives and I think I always believed in God from what they talked about. However, through the tough times of my life as a child I always felt a sense of hopelessness. My father was an alcoholic and I spent most of my childhood up into my teenage years in poverty. I had very little, but I think what hurt the most was that I also had very little I could really trust in or put my hope in.
That theme continued in my life well into my teenage years. Until one day a friend of my brothers invited him to church. My brother, in turn, invited me to church and we joined the youth group there. The youth minister at the church along with some of my friends helped me to understand that the reason for my hopelessness was that I had no personal relationship with God. I knew about God, but I did not know God. I came to understand that my own sin had separated me from Him. I also came to understand that God loved me even though I was a sinner. He loved me so much that He sent his son Jesus to die on a cross for me. He loved me enough to give me eternal life and that hope I had been searching for all those years. He did all this through Jesus Christ.
God used my youth minister to show me how to receive Jesus and eternal life through praying a simple prayer of faith. In my prayer, I expressed sorrow for my sins and that I wanted to turn away from my sinful life. I expressed my belief that I could not save myself and that I needed Jesus Christ through His death on the cross to take my sins and that I wanted to live for Him starting that day. At that moment, I became a part of God’s family and my eternity was settled.
That day made all the difference in my life. Following Christ has brought me to a place that at one point, I never thought I would be – a place of hopefulness. I have much to learn about following Him, but I know that because of the relationship I have with Christ I will always have a place to put my trust and hope in.
It is a joy to share what Jesus Christ has done in my life because my relationship with Him has changed my life. God's desire is for you to come into relationship with Him. Will you make the decision to turn from your sins and pray to accept the risen savior today?
